A representative .meeting' of the Citizens' League was held to-night to deal with the question of jury justice in Greymouth. After lengthy discussions the following motions were carried :— "That this meeting of the Greymouth Citizens' League records its strong protest against the action of juries which have in recent years brought: the fair name of justice into disrepute in our town." "That we as - citizens, of Greymouth pledge ourselves to actively promote the interests of justice, and, further, that we instruct members of the executive of the league to take steps to call a meeting, if on any future occasion in the opinion of the majority of the executive local feeling has interfered with the course of justice, to consider what action to take in order to uphold the honour and fair name of the town "
