LABOUR M.P. FINED FOR LIBEL.
. Capo Town, November jj. Sir Georgo Farrnr, chairman of" tho East Rand Proprietary Mines, has been awarded £100 damages, with costs, in tho libol action brought by him against Mr. Madeley, a Labour member of Parliament. The latter, in a- speech to railwaymon, had stated that it was by Sir Georgo Farrar's orders that their brothers and children had been shot in the rioting on July 4.
