SCHOOL RIFLE RANGES.
'A deputation from tho Kilbiriiio School Committed waited on the Reserves Committee of tho City Council yesterday in reference to tho school rifle range oti the Town Belt, and asked i'f tho council could consider its decision not to agreo- to a transfer of the rango to the Dpfeneo Department. Mr. A, ti. Wallace, chairman df the committee, suggested that if tiro council was against the transfer to the ftcfenco Department, perhaps a satisfactory solution of the difficulty would bo for the council to take control, and compensate tho School Committee for some £20 which had now been spent on improvements Tho chairman of the committee (Mr. G. Frost) promised that the Reserves Committee would deal with tho request, and probably pay a visit to the range. ..
