A. meeting of the committee of tho Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Club was held on Tuesday evening. A letter was' read from the Borough Council, granting the use of the park oval for evening meetings and training, purposes.. It. was decided to accept a benefit entertainment from a local picture company. Thirteen new members were elected. Tho annual meeting of tho Masterton branch of tho W.C.I.U. was held on Tuosday. The Masterton Amatour Swimming Club will hold its annual aquatic carnival on tho park lako on Anniversary Day. Tho Masterton Borough Council has deckled to adopt the recommendation of tho engineer to allow a Special discount to consumers of ,40,000 feet of gas per month, for solely industrial purposes, at the rate of 10d.- per 100 ft.
