THE MID-WEEK ASSOCIATION. The first round, of the mid-week cricket competitions was concluded yesterday afternoon. In the senior grade, Union defeated Oriental by 10 runs on the first innings, thus scoring a twopoint win. Union, at tho close of their second innings, had lost one wicket for 129 runs. M'Girr and Warne, the two not-ont men, gave a lino display of free HONOURS BOARD. Batting. Bowling. JUNIOR MATCHES. Y.M.C.A. v. Wardell's.—Y.M.C.A. made 160 in their first innings, and AA'ardell's made 45. In their second innings they mado 107 (Mouat 26, Kirkland 24, Duck 11. Ponder 11): total, 152. Y.M.C.A. won by an innings and eight runs.

George and George v. Union—George and George, in their first innings, made 87. In their second they made 112 (Ward 34, Wilson 23, Clapshaw 22): total, 199, Union, in their first innings, made 74, and in their second innings made ]19 (Hoivitt 42, A. Chamberlin 20, Hanify 10): total, 193. George and George won by six runs. Chemists defeated St. Patrick's Collego by an innings and two runs. St. Patrick's College's second innings realised 41 runs, Cullen (11) being top scorer. Chemists, in their second innings, made 23 for no wickets (Simpson 1/5 not out). Bowling for Chemists, Masters took five wickets for 14 runs, and M'Kenzio four for 18.
