Tho Alexandra- correspondent of the "Otagu Daily Times" states that a splendid rain commenced thero on Saturday evening and continued well into Sunday. This is expected to bo a record season for farmers everywhere in Otago and heavy yields of fruit are anticipated.
The Farmers' Union mot at Greytown yesterday, when Mr. H. Morison, of Blairlogie, gave an address. It was resolved that all available workers be sent to Wellington to-day by special train. It is anticipated that a large number will go down. s
