SHIPPING MOVEMENTS.
It had been intended to dispatch tlio Jlapourik-a t-o Nelson and Pieton yesterday afternoon, but owing to her crow giving notico at Lyttclton 011 Tuesday, this had to be abandoned. Tlio intercolonial steamer Maungamii left for tlio south at 8.40 last evening without trouble. She took passengers and racehorses. Tlio cross-Strait packet Nikon resumed running (for passengers only) 011 Tuesday from Nelson, and arrived in Wellington yesterday morning. She returned to I'ieton and Nelson last evening. Tlio. movements of the R.M.S. AYilkicUra, which, arrives from San Francisco to-day, arc uncertain., as the vessel lins general cargo for Wellington. The crew of the Arahura were paid olf yesterday. Tho vessel is at present undergoing repairs in the stream.
