Mr R. T. Alston, secretary of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association, left for the'north last night, to discuss import licences with the Industries Committee. The appointments of Mr M. R, Tunnicliffe to the staff of the Christchurch Boys’ High School, and Mr D. Manson to the Christchurch West High School, were approved by the Canterbury University College Council at its meeting yesterday.
