GERMAN SHIPS’ DASH FOR PORT
HAVANA, December 2. The German freighters Idarwald ana Rhein, which left Tampico on November 30 in an attempt to run the British blockade, are apparently trying to reach a Cuban port. . It is reported that they have been desperately attempting to communicate with Mexican radio stations, say* ing warships are pursuing them. From Coquimbo. in Chile, it is reported that the German merchantman Portland has sailed for an undisclosed destination.
