STATE HOUSES
Work began this week on the erection of 13 State houses on the block of land below the cutting in Senses road. Excavations have been made; and foundation boxing erected on several of the sections. So far, land has been acquired for a total of 23 houses. Appeal for Clothes j For the relief of distress in Lyttelton during the winter months. th*f Mayor (Mr F. E. Sutton) is making an appeal for left-off clothing. Clothing may be left at the Council Chambers; or will be called for.
