It is felt to provide ample explanation for the talk heard in serious German and international quarters to-night of diplomatic relations between Germany and the Soviet being brought deliberately near to breaking point at the earliest date. Extreme Anxiety in France A later message from Paris States: That Germany again threatens to become the centre of European anxiety is the consensus of opinion of the French press, which does not conceal its uneasiness at Dr. Goebbels’s speech. The atmosphere becomes tenser as the Nuremberg congress proceeds. Against Russia an.offensive has been let loose.” ‘Le Journal” sees a recrudescence of the old German militarism and desire for world domination constituting a grave danger to -Europe.
