LEESTON TOWN BOARD
* ENGINEER TO REPORT ON FLOODING BY CREEK Commissioner W. Johnston presided over the monthly meeting of the Leeston Town Board. Members extended sympathy to the chairman in the death of his sister. The clerk reported that a civil engineer engaged by the board was investigating the flooding from the creek running through the town and would present a report. Property owners had been requested to remove obstructions from the creek. Heavy traffic fees amounting to £l9 7s 6d were received from the City Treasurer, Christchurch.
