MY PEN-NAME
“Seashell”
I chose my name because I am very fond of seashells. Every time I visit a beach, I collect the prettiest shells, and bring them home. I have shells and stones from Nelson, Timaru, Brighton, Diamond Harbour, Corsair Bay and Woodend. —’MATE SEASHELL. L.8.H., 32 Dormer street, Papanui. “GUfton”
I chose “’Mate Clifton,” because my grandmother came from Clifton in Bristol and has mentioned the town to me many a tune. Also she has named her house “Clifton House.”
—’MATE CLIFTON, A.8.H., L.8.H., P.8.H., 991 Colombo, street, St. Albans..
