TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS: CHRISTCHURCH - ASHBURTON— Special passenger train taking passengers Irom Christchurch, Addington, Sockburn, Templeton, Rolleston, Dunsandel, and Rakaia only, le&ves Christchurch 10.10 am., arriving Racecourse Siding 11.50 am. Return train taking passengers for Rakaia, Dunsandel, Rolleston, Templeton, Sockburn, Addington, and Christchurch only, leaves Ashburton 4.50 pm., Racecourse Siding 5.15 pm., arriving Christchurch 7.3 pm. Passengers from stations at which the Special train will not stop may travel by usual 7.10 am. Christchurch Ashburton train (which will stop at Racecourse Siding to set down) and return by the usual 3.50 pm. Ashbur-ton-Christchurch train (Racecourse Siding 3.56 pm.), or by special horse train leaving Ashburton Racecourse Siding at 5.30 pm. Special fast horse train stopping only at Addington, Sockburn, Templeton, Rolleston. Dunsandel, and Rakaia to lift racehorses in “Ug” waggons, leaves Christchurch at 9.10 am. and arrives Ashburton Racecourse Siding 11.14 am. Special return horse train, stopping where required to set down passengers and horses returning from races, leaves Ashburton Racecourse Siding 5.30 p.m. Should the races be postponed the special trains will NOT run. TIMARU-ASHBURTON: Usual 7.35 am. train for Ashburton will leave Timaru 8.25 am., arriving Ashburton 10.39 am. Usual 4.31 pm. train for Timaru will leave Ashburton 5.26 pm. AUSTRALIA v. CANTERBURY FOOTBALL MATCH. SATURDAY. 19th SEPTEMBER. The usual 12.15 pm. AshburtonChristchurch train will leave Ashburton 12.40 pm., Rakaia 1.10 p.m., Dunsandel 1.30 p*m„ Rolleston 1.52 pm., and arrive Christchurch 2,24 pm. Special passenger train will leave Southbridge 12.45 pm., Leeston 12.57 pm., Lincoln 1.37 pm., and arrive Christchurch 2.7 pm. Special train will leave Little River 12.15 pm. Connects at Lincoln with 12.45 pm. Southbridge-Christchurch train. The usual 2.0 pm. ChristchurchLittle River train leaves Christchurch 4.45 pm. and arrives Little River 5.59 p.m., returning leaving Little River for Christchurch at 6.8 pm, (Service cars from and to Akaroa connect with these trains.) The usual 4.30 pm. ChristchurchSpringfield train leaves Christchurch 5.11 pm., Kirwee 6.34 pm., Darfield 6.50 pm., and arrives Springfield 7.40 pm. Cheap fares will be issuable to Christchurch from Ashburton, Springfield, Methven. Southbridge, Little River, Waikari, and intermediate stations by trains arriving Christchurch up to 2.24 pm.
