ELLESMERE CHORAL SOCIETY
The newly formed Ellesmere Choral Society, which has been founded by Miss Nixon, Killinchy, who has been elected patroness, has been rehearsing for some weeks, and will produce its first concerts at Leeston to-night, at Southbridge to-morrow, and at Ewnsandel on Tuesday, August 14. A cnoir of 44 voices is conducted by Mr Couch, headmaster of the Technical High School, Southbridge, and great] progress has been made under his direction. There are some very fine tenor voices. The music has been lent by Mr V. Peters, Christchurch.
