RACING PIGEONS
CANTERBURY CLUB'S SHOW The Canterbury Pigeon Flying Club held its championship show recently. Only the first prize winners at previous shews were allowed to compete. Mr L. Wilshire was judge. The birds were benched in excellent condition. The club's championship was won by a beautiful Blue Chequer cock, owned by Mr Geo. Robertson. The awards were:—Best old cock and best cock in show: Geo. Robertson. Best old hen: Geo. MacDougall. Best young hen, and best hen in show: 11. Pearson. Best young cock: J. Barter. The club will hold its final show next Saturday evening for birds that have won first, second, or third prizes in races last season. Mr J. Pearee i will be judge.
