The Westenra Cup is | awarded for the best gross score over three rounds of medal play, and is open to member., of the Cheviot, Amuri, Ivukoura, and Hawardcn Golf , Clubs. The .Rutherford Cup competition is run in conjunction with the Westenra Cup competition, and is for the best net score. The entries close wilh the secretary of the Cheviot Club on Wednesday, August 15. Every effort is being made to have the Cheviot links m first-class order for these i competitions. A big entry is expected [and a successful competition is antieijpated.
