Reference to the relative costs of j producing dairy produce in Newj Zealand and Great Britain was made j by Mr Dynes Fulton at a social function held in Hamilton to welcome him home from his recent tour abroad. Great Britain had not a hope of producing dairy produce at anything like the cost maintained in New Zealand, said Mr Fulton. Compared with those in the Dominion the British farmers' methods were crude. On the average English farm, with a capacity for 43 cows, there were as many as eight or 10 employees, and most of the milking was done by hand.
