WAIMAKARIRI RIVER BILL
Suggested amendments Lu the Waimakariri Improvement Bill, which is to come before the House as a private bill at the forthcoming session, were discussed at a special, meeting of the Waimakariri River Trust yesterday, at which local members of Parliament were present. The chairman of the trust, Mr J. H. Blackwell, presided, and besides the members of the trust there were also present Messrs H. Holland, M.P., H. S. S. Kyle, M.P., D. G. M.P., H. T. Armstrong, M.P., and E. J. Howard, M.P. The meeting was held in committee.
