SOCIAL AND PERSONAL Mrs R. Irving, who returned .from England by the Rangitata, has gone back to Brownhill, Albury. Miss Mary Bond ("Dunrobin," Southland), who has been staying with Mrs Marmaduke Bethell (Pahau Pastures, North Canterbury) and with Mrs Paul Thomson (Culverden), is now staying in Timaru. Miss Judy Galloway (Dunedin) is staying with Mrs W. D. Campbell, Waiiti road. Mrs R. D. King (Sophia street) has returned from a visit to Christchurch. Mr and Mrs G. Hill (Christchurch) are guests at the Grosvenor Hotel. Mrs A. C. Fahey (Selwyn street) is visiting Christchurch. Mrs C. A. Paterson and Miss Helen Paterson (Sefton street) will leave early next week for Hamilton. Recent guests at the Grosvenor Hotel were Mr and Mrs R. D. Halstead, Mr L. Hughes, Mrs Battersby (Dunedin). Mr and Mrs P. Gill, Messrs F. H. Ansley. F. E. Tyson. J. S. Shand, C. H. Marshall (Christchurch), A. G. Macdonald (Auckland), Dr. A. Kidd (Waipiata), and Mr R. G. Kain (Wellington).
