Mr D'Arcy Cresswell's strictures on Christchurch have given us something to think ! over, but perhaps more important is his ; book, "POEMS," 7s (3d), which arrived . recently. "The Press" referred to this . as "one of the two best volumes of 'New Zealand Verse.' " England has always been noted for her literary Prime Ministers, and Mr Baldwin's now book of speeches and addresses will arouse.much interest.
