BURWOOD SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The monthly meeting of the Burwood School Committee was held on Thursday, It' was decided to leave the purchase of ;. stove for the additional classroom in the hands of the chairman and headmaster. Mr Rowland's tender for the removal of the boys' play-shed and the erection of bicycle stands was accepted. The Visiting Committee reported that the boys' playground needed attention, and it was decided to top-dress with sand, and later plough the whole area and resow with' grass. Mr H. Ready was appointed the committee's representative on the Brighton Dental Clinio Committee. The headmaster's report showed the roll to be 151. t lt was decided to provide cocoa for the children at dinner hour, the cost to be Id per child per week.
