GERALDINE.
PERSONAL. Mr Aubrey Moyle, of Geraldine, has received word that he was successful at the theory examination for electrical wiremen held recently in Timaru. Hockey. The matches played on Thursday in the Geraldine Sub-Association competition were decided under most unfavourable weather conditions. The ground was in the nature of a quagmire, which made good hockey out of the question. Owing to being unable to raise a team School forfeited to Temuka. A good number of spectators watched the remaining game, Union v. Southern. Victory went to the former team by 5 points to 2.
