"YTOTICE is hereby given that, at a Special ■ ' Meeting of the Waimairi County Council, held on the 23id day of May, 1928, the following Resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Council, to be. Held on TUESDAY, July 17th, 1928, at 1 p.m. UPPER RICCARTON ELECTRIC LIGHT REDEMPTION LOAN. £I6OO. WHEREAS the sum of One Thousand Six Hundred and Fifty Pounds (£1650), raised by the Waimairi County Couucil in 1918 for the purpose of Electrical lation, became due and payable on the first day of June, 1928, AND WHEREAS the accumulated Sinking Fund provided is insufficient to pay off the said Loan, the sum of One Thousand Five Hundred Pounds (£1500) is required for that pur : pose, NOW THEREFORE the Waunam County Counoil, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926," the "Local Government Loans Board Act. 1926," and the sanction of the Local Government Loans Board, dated the 9th day of May, 1928, hereby resolves by way of SPECIAL ORDER: FIRSTLY, to borrow the said sum of One Thousand Five Hundred Pounds (£1500) for the purpose of paying off the said Loan. SECONDLY, that the said sum of One Thousand Five Hundred Pounds (£1500) shall be repayable on the Ist day of June, 1938, or such earlier date as may be-determined by the Council. THIRDLY, that for the purpose of pro-. • viding Interest, 8 vei cent. Sinking Fund, and other .charges on the said Loan of One Thousand Five Hundred ' Pounds (£1500), the said Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of orefarthing. (Id) in the £ on the Rateable Value (being Capital Value) on all the rateable property in that Special Area in the Waimairi County, known as the Upper Riccarton Electric Lighting Loan Area as defined in notice published, in the "Lyttelton Times" news-, paper on the 30th day of May, 1918, and such rate shall be an annually recurring rate, payable on the Ist day of Juno in each and every year duringthe currency of such Loan~or until the Loan is fully paid off. a.
