THEFT OF BICYCLE.
(press association tblegsaJc.) WELLINGTON, June 8. Albert Ayling, a steward, - when charged with the theft of a bicycle today, put up the defence that he was not guilty as he did not actually commit the offence. The facts were that another man actually stole the machine, and asked the accused to pawn it. Accused kept guard while the theft was committed. Ayling was before the Court last week, .when he got three months' imprisonment for the theft of a ring fronj a package of stolen jewellery, which he was minding for a friend. He will now serve art additional month,
