Thp State Athletic Commission gave Tex'Rickard permission to hold the Beeney-Turiney championship fight at the Yankee Stadium on July 26th. The promoter said he would start immediately preparations to handle a capacity crowd. •. He estimates that'the receipts, will amount to 2,000,000 dollars.—Australian Press Association.
M'DQNALD DEFEATS BROCK,

SYDNEY, June 8. At the Leichbardt Stadium, Lachie McDonald (list „2ilb) y knocked out Fred Brock (lOst 121b) in the tenth round of a fifteen-rounds contest McDonald dropped Brock twice for nine and once for six in the second round, the bell saving him. Thereafter McDonald had matters in his own hands and punished his opponent severely before, in the tenth round, dropping liim with a heavy left to the jaw, the referee stopping the contest and declaring McDonald the winner.— Australian Press.
