BRITISH MOTORS' PROCESSION. AWARDS IN WINDOW DISPLAY COMPETITION. This morning and to-morrow there will be a procession of British-made motor-cars and motor-trucks. The procession is to assemble at Latimer square at 11.30 a.m. to-day and it is proposed to traverse most of the maiu streets. Many requests are made still for supplies of posters. The judging of the window displays was done on Monday evening, and the awards were announced yesterday. Points were given under the following heads:—General design; publicity for "Trade Within the Empire"; selling value; ticketing, posters, and decorations; and the number of British countries represented in the display. Following are the results: — Class A., Drapers; general, all goods made within the Empire—D.l.C. 1, N.Z. Farmers' Co-operative Association 2. Class 8., Hardware; all made within the Empire —N.Z. Farmers' Co-operative Association 1, E. Eeece, Ltd., 2. Class C., Groceries; all produced within the Empire —Kincaids, Ltd., 1. Class D., Footwear; all manufactured within the Empire—C. D. Gough and Son .1. Class E.. all New Zealand made goods —N.Z. Farmers' Co-oporative Association 1, D.I.C. 2, Vale and Co., 3. Class F.,- Empire-made toys and fancy goods —None of the entries in this section fulfilled the conditions. Notes by the Judges, Commenting on the placed displays the judges say: — New Zealand Farmers'.—The displays in this store were distinctly outstanding, particularly the hardware and New Zealand-made goods sections. D.I.C. —These windows were artistic in design and colouring. The general drapery display and the New Zealand exhibits were well done. Eeece, Ltd. —Amongst the best displays shown in the competition. Every exhibit was clearly marked with the place of origin. The whole section was interesting and attractive. Kincaid's, Ltd.—Well up to exhibition standard, and most attractive. Gough and Sons, Ltd.—A well-planned and effective scheme. The display and decorations were good and the goods well ticketed. Yale and Company. —An excellent result with a difficult subject. Regarding the other displays entered, the judges comment: — "Armstrong's, Ltd. —Bond's hosiery. A very 'effective display. Franjc A_. Cook. —A colourful and useful exhibition. Hannah ahd^nmpany.—Highly commended—ftir an attractive display. Chisnall and Stewart.—A well-planned and pleasing display. Star Stores.—All six displays were well carried out. ; F. Wedd, Bagmaker, High street. — A most effective display of New Zea-land-made leather goods. Bonnington, Ltd. —:A good display of a well-known product. Ashby, Bergh, Ltd.—A good display of brushes. Weli carried out and very interesting. Cook and Boss. —A pleasing display of New Zealand-made medicine.

Regarding, Class E, toys and fancy goods of " Empire manufacture, it - was j hoped tha,t the opportunity, would have been taken advantage of by : soldiers to make a display in this 'section. The two displays entered could not bo considered as coining under the classification of the heading.
