This club, for men only, is known as "The Finger Club," and the use of a knife entails a penalty of drinks all round. A supper is' held every month, and the menu usually consists of such things as sausages, pickled onions, and bread and cheese. Many local professional men and tradesmen are members. A levy for some local charity is laid upon members at each supper. Jellies and pickled onions are said to constitute the chief difficult for new members.
