awards by associated board. [THE PEESS Special Service.] WELLINGTON, May 22. The Associated Board of the R.A.SI. and R.C.M., London, offers three exhibitions annually to candidates at examinations who show exceptional musical promise. The winners are entitled to free musical tuition at the Royal Academy or Royal College for a terra of not less than two years. It frequently happens that three or four years are given, and in some cases a special grant towards expenses as well. Advice has been received from London that as a result of the 1927 examinations exhibitions have been awarded) as follow: Miss H. F. C. Hart. Wellington, tenable in pianoforte at the Royal Academy. _ . Mr H. McCutcheon, Gore, tenable m violin at the Royal Academy. Miss F. S. Mac Clean, Carterton, tenable in pianoforte at the Royal College. These exhibitions must be taken up within one year of the date of award.
