(BY OCR COMMERCIAL EDITOR.) Tuesday Evening. The fixing of the price of Australian wheat fqr export at 4s 9d has relieved the situation in tho wheat market, as it jvas reported that the price might be reduced to 4s. Tho reduction is only lid per bushel, and it is probable that the advance m the London market bas obviated the necessity for bringing the price lower. --Whether the local market will again open at the rates ruling when millors and merchants ceased operations remains to be seen, as thero nas not yet been time to oonsider tho position. In tho meantime, the removal of tho fear of \ importations of cheap Australian wheat ana flour has given considerable re- , lief.
