—4 NEW ZEALAND'S CONTRIBUTION. % I (press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, August 1. The Imperial Supplies Department has made payment on behalf of the Imperial Government during July of £1,015,789 for meat. This is a record j for any one month. The total payments since March, ' 1915, amount to £11,203,364 for shipI ments aggregating 878,517 quarters of i beef, 3,673.243 sheep, and 5,461,015 ! lambs. Tnerc are 1,750,000 601b car- • cases or meat in store in the Dominion. I To date the Department's shipments I of cheese amount to 13,804 tons, cost- | ing £916,637.
