SATURDAY, DECEMBER 19th. "We have much pleasure in informing our leaders that on Boxing Day Messrs Holmes and Co. intend to iluminate and throw open to the public the entire length of the finished portion of the railway tunnel. Th© tunnel will be lit up with innumerable candles, which, considering the length already finished, will be no small undertaking. We congratulate. Messrs Holmes and Co. upon tbe idea, which is a most happy one, and our readers upon the opportunity that.will be afforded them of inspecting the progress of the tunnel under such novel circumstance-."
