A shipment of Italian lemons arrived dnrin_ the week via Australia, and sold a723s per case. Loral fruits are coming in a little more freeiv. Waimate strawberries are sellim; at _<i to i-'d. and local to Is Id. R-.sph. rri<?s od to 6d, black currants -id, chrrries 9d to 9Jd, tomatoes lid to Is Id. gooseberries 2d to 3id. Mushrooms are selling at 9d to lOd per lb. Local cucumbers are quoted at B£d per lb. Auckland plums aro now arriving, and selling up to 4s 7d per 121b box, and local plums 7s to 'Js per box. Vegetables continue in fair supply, peas selling at Is per peck, new potatoes I*l per lb, cabbages and lettuce Cd to 8d per dozen.
