A BOUNTIFUL HARVEST.
SYDNEY, December 19. The "Herald'! says that all indications show that Australia this year will be blessed with a phenomenal wheat yield. Harvesting is so far advanced that the speculative element is almost absent from calculations. The yield in many places is. very heavy, and even in the least favoured localities, is rather above than below tho average. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London office, dated December 18th: — "Frozen Meat: Market Srm. Frozen mutton and lamb prices are higher by id to id per lb since our last advice. Frozen beef prices are unchanged. Sheep skins: As compared with last sales, prices of. merino combing skins are lower by Sd/ merino clothing skins and short polt** by Jd, fine crossbred combing skins by Id. and medium and coarse crossbred combing skins by id to _d. Prices of crossbred short-woolled skins and shorn pelts are unchanced." The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., advise having received a cablegram from London giving the under-noted market information :—"Sheepskins: Merino combing and crossbred combing id to Jd/ qUjors par to Jd lower." .
