OXFORD SALE.
At the Oxford market on Thursday there was a yarding of -000 sheep. The sale was well attended, and bidding throughout was keen for all classes of sheep. Fat wethers, shorn, made from 19s id to SOs Id: fat ewes, shorn, 15s lOd to 18s 6d, lighter weights 13s to 14s 6d; merino ewes and lambs (al. counted), 10s M to 10s Yd; aged ewes and lambs (shorn), all counted, 10s to 10s Id; aged ewes and lambs, woolly, 13s Hd; two-tooth halfbred ewes, to 20s 7d; two-tooth three-quarterbred owes, 16s 3d to 18s 6d; two-tooth three-quarterbred wethers, 14s 3d to 15s 10d; two, four, and six-tooth wethers, to 16s 2d; small two-tooth wethers, to lis 6d.
Cattle—Calves, 22s 6d to 395; yearlings, £2 lis to £3; 18 months old cattle. £4 to £4 10s 6d. Pigs—Weaners 16- to 225, light porkers 31s.
