RECEPTION OF THE ULTIMATUM.
CONSTERNATION IN TURKEY.
(Received September 29th, 10.46 p.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, September 29. Tho Italian ultimatum produced consternation in official circles, who comment -upon it most strongly. The undertaking of tho Powers to remain j neutral has keenly disappointed the Turks. It is reported that the Porte has decided to reject the demands of the ultimatum, and address an explanatory communication to the Powers. Seventy deputies met, and resolved to invite the Porte to convene th© Chamber at i the earliest date, in any case not J later than October 14th. The tone of j tho meeting was very hostile to the ; Cabinet. I It is stated semi-officially that the I ultimatum demands the evacuation of j Tripoli and Cyrenaica within twentyfonr hours. Said Pasha, President of the Senate, i Ghazimukhta, vice-president of the ! Senate, and Ahmedriza Bey, President Jof the Chamber of deputies, attended '■ the extraordinary meeting of the Council. I
