Tho weather continues unsettled here, .15 inch of rain falling Tuesday night. This was followed by a etronc nor'-wesi galo on Thursday, the wind suddenly veering to souVwest ( about 8 p.m Thursday evening. Rain set in about 10 o'clock-and continued fox some hours, but about 2 a.m. Friday morning snow commenced to fall, and at daybreak the ground had received a coating varying from one to two Inches in thickness, and the sky having cleared by that timo, a stiff frost set in. The hills havo received a fresh coating of snow nearly to their base, and cold weather, with frosts at night, will be 7 experienced for some time yet. At Darfield, up to 4 p.m. to-day, .40 inch of rain was registered, the month's total up to 5.10 inches.
