MRS JOHN FIELD
Mrs John Field, whose death took place last week, camo to the Dominion with her husband thirty-three years ago, and had resided in Christchurch for tho last nineteen years. She was well known and highly respected a? a worker in the temperance- movement, and was closely identified with the W.C.T.U., being at tho timo of her death vice-president of the executive committee, and a vice-president of the Christehurch Prohibition League. For somo time deceased was a member of tho Sydenham and SomerScld School Committees. Her remains were interred at the Sydenham cemetery The Revs. Clement and Ward officiated at the grave, and a very largo number were present to pay their last respects to her memory. Shi leaves her husband, three daughters and one son, to mourn their loss.
