The market on Tuesday was well attended. In the Noi'th Canterbuiy Stores Company's yards there was an entry of 800 sheep, 120 cattle, and 60 pigs. Prices were:—Fat two-tooths 17s 6d, four and six-tooth ewes 16s 6d, fat Itimbs 13s 8d to 15» 6d, store two-tooths 14a 10d, store lambs 12a 4d. Cattle—Beef equ.il to 22s 6d per 1001b; dairy cows £4 10s to- £8 10s, dry cowh «£3 to £5 10«, 18 months cattle £3 10« to £4, yearlings 60s, cajven 30s. Pigs—Bacoivers 35s to 46s 6d, porkers 30s, store pigs 18-s to 225, weaners 14s to 16s, suckers 6» to 10s.
In the Canterbury Stores produce yards prices were.-—Lamb sktoe Is 9d, pelts Iβ 4d, merino wool 7Jd lb, croi?&bred d<>. 7d, coarser kinds 6d, pieces 4d. Poultry— Roosters Sβ a couple, hens 3s 6d, ducks 4s, chick wheat to 2s 9d a bushel, oats Is 6d, beans 3s 4d. potatoes Jd lb.
Messrs Con way Mat son and Sons sold at the Progress yards:—Cattle to £5 10s. heavy eheepskins to 5s 9d, lighter sorts to li 4d, merino skins 2s 2d to 4s sd, pelts 9d, crossbred wool 6£d lb, pieces 3id. Poultry—Roosters 3s 9d a couple, hens to 3s 6d, ducks As, chick wheat to 2v3 6d a bushel, oats Is 6d, barley 2s 9d, sharps 6s a sack, new potatoes |d lb. CUST. At the second monthly fat stock sale by tho North Canterbury Stores Company at Cust on Monday there was a.n entry of 2200 sheep (of which 1700 were fat),*and about 30 head of cattle. Prices were: — Fat lambs 13s 6d to 15s 9d, fat wethers 16s to 18», fat ewes 13s to 14s 9d, store lambs 11s 6d, two-tooth wethers 14e 6d, «wes and lambs (all counted) 6s. Beef 22s 6d per lOOlbs, 18 months heifers £4 to £4 13s 6d.
