The oddest luck-bringer was that seen the other day at a London wedding—a pair of green silk stockings, worn ,by the prettiest of the bridesmaids. This is perhaps tlie first time, writes a lady correspondent, that ihe ' green stockings for luck" motto has been emphasised at a. fashionable wedding, but no doubt the custom will spread. If you wish to try the effect, kindly remember that only one bridesmaid out of six must don emerald hose, and she has to 'be old«?r than the bride.
