E. A. Wall, under mo3t favourable conditions on the Leestoh cycle track endeavoured yesterday to break existing records. He was paced 03* five tandems and a triplet and a quadruplet, but bis attempts failed: Ht3 time for 10 miles was 25min 18seo, Archer holding the record with 22 nin 28->ec. For 25 m lea Wall's time was 59.nin 32scc, whilst Archer's ttmt* was 57min 52« c. In one hour Wall travelled 25 miies 410 yards, Archer's record for this time being 25 miles 1585 yards. ' Before feta- ting for the hour's record Wall. endeavoured -to break tho quarter,. half and one mile record, but owing probably to pacing being too slow failed in bis attempt.
