With more favourable cable messages as" to the tone of the London market farmers have not shown quite so much disposition to sell, and they are a litth? more than'tuts previously ,been given. I There has, however, been some activity shown in the demand' for wheat for local milling purposes, and sales have-been effected on the basis of quotations, and for special parcels of extol prim© milling a somewhat higher price has been paid. The scan-city, of sacks has been felt, but supplies are due to arrive within the next fortnight or three weeks. Oats purchased a few weeks ago are coming forward slowly, atod a difficulty hai been experienced in filling shipping space that was arranged' for. There is only a hand-to-mouth business doing locally in feed lines, but prime milling are wanted, and are only sparingly offered. A few farmers ! are shipping Canadians in preference to ac- | cepting the present rates.
