A FIGHT WITH AN ALLIGATOR.

The Royal Humane Society has granted a medal to Subadah Shamaa Khan, of the lßt Uganda Rifles, for rescuing a comrade frola the jaws of an alligator in September last, .pus circumstance is worth a note. His Lordship Bishop Benjamin Amctt; D.D., of Wilberfozce, Ohio, U.S.A., makes a note of an equally interesting circumstance when he writes:— . "To whom it may concern: In April, 1894,, whilo on my way "home from Philadelphia, I caught a very severe cold, which soon developed into rheumatism.
