THREE GENERATIONS.
Sir Rupert Clarke has decided to stand as % candidate for the vacancy on the Board of .he Colonial Bank of Australasia, Limited, caused by the death of his father, the late pir W. J. Clarke, and as his decision responds to a general wish his election may he regarded as assured. This is the first instance in connection with Australian banking where three generations of a family have been directly connected with the n.nna_ement of a Bank. Sir Rupert _ grandfather was one of its founders, while his father served as a Director for twenty-eight year_. The continuance of the influence and Btrong support of the Clarke family will be jetuined by the Bank.
