Supply the Ratepayers of that: port of the County of Ashburton between the Ashburton and Bakaia Rivera with Water. TkjXCTICE is hereby given, that application is ill intended to be made at the next session of tbe General Assembly of New Zealand, to introduce a Bill to enable the Aflhcurkm County Council to supply the ratepayers and residents of that part of the, County of Ashburton between Ashburton and Bakaia rivers with water, for domestic, agricultural, and pastoral purposes, and for such purposes to take water from the ; said rivers to the extent of one-half the volume thereof or from the tributary of the Ashburton river, known as Padding Bill Stream, to the extent of three-fourths of the volume thereof, and to purchase and hold all lands necessary for such purposes, and to make and construct all the necessary works, and borrow the necessary money to enable tbe said County Council to do so, and making provision for the payment of the interest upon any loans and providing a sinking fund for the payment of the principal tßOiuay-, -Aloo defining- -tho fcouutiariEH of any district within or in respect of which any water supply is to be provided. Also empowering the Council to enter upon any land within any district for the purpose of making the necessary surveys.
