Bruce will sail for Timaru and Akaroa, and not as formerly advertised. The brig Clematis cleared outwards at the Customs for Hobart Town yesterday. She will finish ballasting to day. The barque Freetrader broke bulk yesterday morning, and commenced to discharge. The schooner Jessie Henderson was hauled atoi'-ide tbe breastwork yesterday morning, and commenced to discharge. The barques Cog Dv Village, Smith, for New-cac-ue. and sjreu, Kees, lor Kaipara, took their departure yesterday. Both are in ballast trim. The tormer noes for coals, and the latter for timber, both for Lyttelton. The brltr Transport, for Newcastle, and brigantine Magellan Cloud, for the Chatham Islands, sailed yesterday; tbe former in ballast, and the latter with general cargo. Both return to port shortly. The brigantine Cleopatra, Captain O'Brien, cleared outwards at the Customs yesterday ior Danedin, with cargo transhipped from the ship Geraldine Facet. She sailed last evening. "The brig Fawn was berthed alongside No. 2 wharf yesterday morning to discharge the remain* der of her cargo, part of which was discharged into tbe hulk in tbe stream. The ketch BlackwalJ, from Pigeon Bay, with firewood, and.Clyde and Gazelle, from Saltwater Creek and Gore's Bay, arrived yesterday. . The schooner Nile sailed yesterday for Akaroa. Tbe schooner Jessie Henderson, Captain Robinson, arrived in harbor on Wednesday, at 7.30 p.m., from Auckland. The Captain reports that he left that port on Wednesday, January 13th, at 5 p.m.. passed East Cape on Friday at 6 a.m., passed Cape Palli*er on Sunday evening-, passed tho Kaikoras on Monday, and sighted the beads at 4> a.m. on Wednesday; experienced light variable winds and fine weather until arrival. The captain reports that he sighted a ship off Cape PallUer, supposed to be the Waitanga, from the same port, and due. She brings a full cargo of timber, &c, as per exports. Attention is drawn to the alteration of the sailing of the s.s Phoebe for South, from Monday, January 26tb, as formerly notified, to Tuesday, January 26th. ' The schooner Florence Brown will shortly arrive from Timaru, after which she will load a cargo for Wellington. The schooner Alert arrived in Greymouth on January 14th, from Lyttelton. She left this port with full general cargo on the 7th instant. After discharging she will reload another of timber for Lyttelton. The schooners Edward and Reward were berthed yesterday at the Breastwork, to discharge their cargoes of timber.
