POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails for Lyttelton will close at 8 a m and 2 pm. Mails for Chrisrchurch will close at Lyttelion at 9 10 a m and 3 10 p m. Mails for Otago and Southland will close at Qhristchnrch at 1 p m, and Lyttelton at 2 p m, on Thursday, the 6th of August. ENGLISH MAIL VIA PANAMA. Mails for the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, via Panama, and the Northern Ports of New Zealand, will close at Christchurch at 2 30 p m, and Lyttelton at 3 30 p m, on Thursday, the 6th of August. Letters for Mexico, Soutli America, the Continent of Europe, and other Foreign Countriee, must be posted before 1 p m, the same day. I
Late letters for all the above places can be posted until 4 p.m. by the attachment of an extra sixpenny stamp.
Money orders must be procured before 5 p m on Wednesday; August. 5, .and letters registered before 11 am on Thursday, the 6th of August. Money orders must he procured at Lyttelton before 5 p m on Wednesday, August 5, and letters registered before 3 pm on Thursday, the 6th August. ENGLISH HAIL VIA SUEZ. Mails f<ir the United Kingdom, the Continent of Europe, the Mediterranean ports, via Suez, and the Australian colonies will close at Christchurch at 1 p m, and Lyttelton at 2pm on Thursday, the 6th August. Letters for this mail must be specially addressed via Suoz
The hours for closing these in tils are stated in accordance with the latest notice given by the- agents of tbe sailing of the vessels. If any delay e takes place, the hour of the closing of the muils will be deferred, or supplementary mails made up.
