Committee .—Messrs Bridge (Chairman), J Smith, Storrey, Manson, Gillet, Dudley, Lockhead, R. Marshall, T. Taylor, Woods, Rennie (Treasurer). Lowry, Earle, Maweon, Waddel, Dilloway, W. Shaw. A Sub Committee, consisting of the Chairmun, Secretary, Treasurer, and Meeere Smith and Marshall, have been appointed to ley oufc the ground, and to act as Steward* on the day of the meeting. The oompefition will be confined to reai(fonts within the limits of the Ellesmero Road Board. There will be three classes. The first prizes will be, for the first clase £10, for' the second clues £5, and for the third clase £3. No ploughman who has gained a prize will be allowed to compete in the second class, and the third class will be confined to lads under the age of seventeen. The entrance fee for the men's o'asses will bo 10s, and for the boye* class ss. A prize will be given for the best team on the ground, and other prizes will also be awarded. All teams must be on the ground by nine a.m on the 14th met., where each ploughman will be supplied with a printed copy of the rules. Fuller information may be obtained from members of the committee, by whom subscriptions w>ll be thankfully received. A meeting of the committee will take place on Thursday, the 6th instant. All entries must be addressed to the Secretary, at Mr Loe's Hotel, Leeston, on or before Wednesday, August 12, and must contain in full the name oi the owner of the team, and the name of the ploughman, as well a* the number of the class in which he desires to compete.
