Mails per Prince Alfred for England, Sydney, Brisbane, and Nelson, will close at Christchurch at G a.m., and at Lyttclton at 8 a.m., on Friday, ihc 11 lh inst., and at Kaiapoi at 1, p.m., on Thursday, tlie 10th mat. Money orders must be procured before 1 p.m. on Thursday, the 10th inst., and letters for registry mast be posted before 4 p.m. ou that day, at both towns. Mail* per Lord Ashley for the Australian Colonies, India, the Mediterranean Ports, Dunedin, and supplementary mails for England, will close at Christohureh at 6 a.m., and at Lvttelton at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, the 15th iust., and at Kaiapoi at 1 p.m. on Monday the 14th inst. Money orders xuu?t be obtained before 1 p.m.
on Monday, the 11th inst., and letters for registry must be posted before 4, p.m., same ' day, at both towns. : Late letters, by payment of tin extra sixpenny stamp upon each letter, can be posted, at Christ - church until within three hours, and at Lyttelton until within one hour of the sailing of the steamer on the 11th and loth instants respectively.
