Accident on the railway.
CiiRiSTCBrtiBCH, Monday.— A young man John MeDougalJ, belonging to Lyttlfton, Piriployed at the itaiapoi .Railway Station, was run over by- a goods train to-day. His foot was caught in the points as he was engaged in shunting operations and he was unable to rise before the train was on him and he was tenibly mangled. He was brought to Christchurch Hospital, where he died.
